Position Title:

50/50 Program Supervisor

Reporting to:

Manager, Fan Initiatives and Philanthropy

Position Summary:

The Jays Care Foundation is seeking a 50/50 Program Supervisor who will be responsible for designing, leading and executing the Electronic 50/50 Raffle Fundraising Program during the 2017 Toronto Blue Jays season.

Please note this is a contract position January 2018 – November 2018.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and lead a group of 50 seasonal game-day staff, including an Event Manager, Fundraisers and Support Staff

  • Communicate with staff and/or volunteer groups on a regular basis regarding program updates and game day details

  • Complete all shift scheduling using the Find My Shift Application

  • Design and implement a Staff Incentive Program

  • Manage all technical aspects of the e5050 Program including the Event Manager Terminal and the Charitable Gaming Administration Panel

  • Actively reinforce both individual and team goals and objectives

  • Plan and conduct staff and volunteer training

  • Responsible for game-day execution, including but not limited to staff room set up, pre-game meetings, supervising staff/volunteers, handling money and completing sales reconciliation

  • Provide on-going support to staff members, conduct staff evaluations and plan team building initiatives

  • Work closely with various internal departments  

  • Assist with fan inquires in an efficient and professional manner

  • Monitor, tracks and reconciles all staff sales

  • Complete monthly lottery reporting and day-to-day administration

  • Complete extensive data entry and comprehensive data analysis

  • Provide general support of JCF events, programs and initiatives as required

     

    Qualifications:

  • University or College education preferred in sports management, fundraising or related field

  • 2-3 years work related experience in sales

  • Demonstrated experience training and managing large groups of staff/volunteers

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience in shift scheduling considered an asset

  • Ability to multi-task, meet required deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working with Canadian Bank Note and/or the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario considered an asset

  • Experience in Fundraising Program design and implementation considered an asset

  • Strong customer service skills and commitment to service excellence

  • Strong team player, outgoing and self-motivated

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Strong conflict resolution skills

  • Must be able and willing to work flexible hours; including evenings, weekends and holidays as required

     

    Schedule: Full Time, Contract

    Shift: Variable
