Child Youth And Family Resources Navigator
Part Time 3 Year Term Position
11 Hours Per Week

Start Date: February 12, 2018

Position Summary: The Navigator assists in the creation of a collaborative service / support team for families in Creston and surrounding areas that are receiving or require multiple services. The Navigator supports youth / families to access relevant services (through referrals and information), assists in the formation of each support team, facilitates an initial meeting and assists in the evaluation of the effectiveness of coordinated/collaborative services and the overall project. The position will be located both at Valley Community Services and Prince Charles Secondary School.

Wage: $26.00 per hour
Term: 3 Year Term

Bachelor's Degree or a combination of post-secondary education in the field of child and youth care / counselling / social work / psychology and relevant experience required.
At least two years recent, related experience in delivering health or social services required.
Current working knowledge of local supports and services and a strong awareness of local resources and systems of care.
Experience working with children and youth with mental health and addictions and their families required.
Possess a valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
