We are currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our internal Payroll Operations team.  This role will report to the Manager, Payroll Operations.  

The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll and knowledge of payroll taxation and compliance. They will also have the ability to interface with employees and to use their skills to answer/resolve employee inquires/issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years payroll experience in a high volume payroll operation.
  • PCP candidate or PCP in good standing
  • Experience in the payroll outsourcing or consulting industry preferred
  • Understanding of a HR Shared Service delivery model
  • Ability to resolve employee issues and provide superior customer service to business partners
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, technically and effectively with business partners
  • Experience working in a case management system is preferred
  • Skilled at working within a Workflow Management Tool and related reports preferred.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform payroll data entry including but not limited to processing of taxable benefits, bonus payments, auto allowance and other payroll entries
  • Respond to pay related inquiries from HR Contact Center or employees
  • Maintain SOP documentation and processes.
  • Escalates issues of processes/procedures as appropriate.
  • Adheres to internal and external audit requirements.
  • Perform data processing, using SOP/guidelines, to ensure updates are accurately captured.
  • Identifies potential service delivery issues and provides input towards process improvement.
  • Maintain discretion in matters of confidentiality
  • Generates ad hoc reports and analyze for accuracy
  • Conducts/supports acceptance testing of processes as required per release management
  • Helps identify and implement ideas for improving processes/tasks/activities
