Rogers ITS is seeking an experienced Support Analyst for Enterprise System Integration support team to provide application/environment support.  Reporting to the ESI Support manager at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, this individual will be responsible for monitoring and support of multiple applications on various integration platforms, analyze and investigate problems and provide solutions. Assists in release deployment, participate after hours call rotation and to continuously improve the support process and documentation.


What you will be doing…

  • Manage, support and maintain production support and services of various applications and different infrastructure environment with minimal guidance
  • Provide technical supervision and consultation to users, assess their technical needs and requirements
  • Monitor alerts, server health, application services and ensure 24x7 availability of the Production environment.
  • Perform Problem determination, coordinate with various teams and raise incident for all Issues, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of all production issues.
  • Coordinate for releases, deployment, validation, patching activities etc.
  • Provide operational requirements to the project team for process, business and capacity needs.
  • Identify the operational process gaps upfront as part of the design and development of the projects and provide Preventive solutions.
  • Leads and coordinates activities of application support and design development
  •  Conducts systems analysis of organizational needs and goals for the support and Implementation of applications.
  • Work with Development team in planning and executing test cases for integration
  • Testing, ensuring adherence to standards and design specifications.
  • Maintain Rogers standards for application and workflows, implementations and service Perform application optimization by working with developers, customers and system support personnel.
  • Increase; application reliability and availability through process improvement
  • Identify possible integration constraints in relation to other IT systems and dependences
  • Provide optimization recommendations through historical analysis and forth coming projects.
  • Extends awareness of risks associated with application development potential Impacts, incorporating risk planning and mitigation.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution Conduct release and deployment planning meetings
  • Adhere to Rogers SDLC, IT Service Management, Change Management and Release Management
  • Ensure standardized methods and procedures are followed for all production related changes
  • Acts as single point of contact for multiple portfolios within a line of business, delivering ITS solutions across line of business.
  • Review and approve from support perspective technical solution designs and test plans, detailed design documents, operating support instructions, operations management/deployment plans
  • On Call after hour support


What you have…

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Minimum 5-6 years equivalent experience in ITIL, Operations support , product and software development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Java and Weblogic Server is a must.
  • Experience with monitoring/ ELK tools like Dynatrace, Splunk
  • Experience with Automation tools like Urban Code, Jenkins or chef.
  • Experience with Shell scripting/UNIX environment and integration technologies
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Weblogic, SOA server platform
  • Strong programming skills and good understanding of principles behind service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Experience with automation and simplification of tasks.
  • Must be familiar with Waterfall and Agile Development methodologies
  • Experience with incident, change and problem management process align with ITIL
  • framework
  • Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, Firewall rules) and UNIX\WINDOWS servers and Infrastructure environment. Knowledge in SAN and NAS
  • Experience in project implementations and support application environment.
