ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

The Direct Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development and execution of direct marketing campaigns in alignment with the brand strategy. This position will support the development of the direct marketing strategy and lead the execution of all email campaigns, and customer lifecycle programs designed to drive customer engagement, loyalty, grow our email subscriber base and generate demand.

 

This successful candidate will report directly into the Brand Manager, TSC (Today's Shopping Choice) and will be located in Mississauga, 59 Ambassador Dr.

 

WHAT YOULL BE DOING:

 

  • Strong collaboration with the Brand Management Team to support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns in alignment with campaign strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with the Brand Management, Creative, Web and IT teams to develop and deploy digital campaigns
  • Support the development and drive the execution of automated, personalized, trigger based customer lifecycle campaigns
  • Manage the email subscriber base and email preference centre ensuring CASL compliance.
  • Schedule, code and test email campaigns ensuring all emails conform to standards and are viewable across multiple email systems and mobile platforms
  • Work with analytics team to identify target audience and customer segmentation required for campaign execution
  • Identify opportunities to improve and optimize campaign performance
  • Analyze and report on program performance and provide recommendations based on results
  • Follow and analyze trends in direct marketing and identify opportunities

 

WHAT YOU BRING

 

  • Direct marketing experience with a focus on digital marketing, campaign management and analytics is a must
  • Proven experience in executing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Strong level of digital fluency with ability to establish and adapt plans based on a robust understanding of digital metrics.
  • Well-developed knowledge and experience with Salesforce and/or Exact Target
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and project management skills
  • Proven communication skills and passion for learning about the digital marketing industry
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Exceptional written communication skills
