Rogers is seeking a Director, Digital IT Enterprise reporting to the VP, Digital Development, Customer Experience IT.  This position will be based out of our Toronto campus with travel to our Brampton office as required.  The Director will partner with our Enterprise business unit’s leadership teams to provide thought leadership to build out Digital capabilities and a technology roadmap that aligns to the Enterprise product and sales strategies.  This position requires a person with a strong technical Digital background with experience in creating innovative IT solutions and designs that provide a brilliant digital experience with our online sales flows and self serve capabilities.  The successful candidate will possess strong digital technology skills and business acumen to drives results, and has the ability to lead through influence, building strong relationships by working collaboratively with all levels of the organization.     

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Deliver the Digital Sales flows, self serve and enterprise portal capabilities for our small, medium and large enterprise customers.  
  • Develop & deliver long-term strategy roadmaps
  • Support leadership development priorities and IT department cultural changes with a highly collaborative working style that enables engagement across functional business teams
  • Focus on rapid and cost effective development and deployment strategies including agile methodologies
  • Develop and deliver solutions with high performance and stability
  • Deliver both in year and longer term project commitments
  • Select technology and vendors to deliver roadmap
  • Responsible for the delivery of a reliable, well-defined Digital architecture that supports Enterprise initiatives
  • Govern execution of Enterprise digital initiatives in partnership with the Digital Capabilities Delivery team.
  • Ensure scope and business requirements are clear and managed effectively
  • Support teams and remove road blocks on projects, programs
  • Estimate, Design, Build and manage digital platform projects
  • Deliver Digital NPS initiatives, Sustain & Operation initiatives, Production Support items as necessary
  • Develop talent, build and drive an agile culture and governance process
  • Lead, manage and motivate team by mentoring, coaching and ensuring development plans established for each team member
  • Develop and manage a budget for the applications, projects, and resources (deliver against Opex and Capex targets)
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate design, development and delivery of eBusiness capabilities
  • Ensures consistency and maintainability of existing applications by following and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing new solutions.

    Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 3 years in a senior IT leadership role
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an eBusiness and/or eCommerce role
  • Strong technical affinity and current understanding of digital technologies including eCommerce, web analytics, search, content/document management and mobility
  • Experience managing large programs with multiple elements of functional and technical requirements
  • Experience working on global initiatives that require both the global and region specific deliverables
  • Ability to prioritize effectively to focus on initiatives and building alignment around what has been prioritized
  • Expert problem solving, troubleshooting decision making skills
  • Superior communication (written and verbal), negotiation and facilitation skills with various audiences.
  • Must have the ability to consistently and collaboratively resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and align teams.
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to be productive in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large scale high throughput platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience (required), 
  • Proven experience with the following:
  • Working knowledge of leading edge technologies – Angular, Play, Akka, Janrain, Dynatrace, Adobe, Endeca, and CMS systems:  HP Livesite and Teamsite
