The British Columbia Ambulance Service (BCAS) is the lead Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agency in British Columbia, the largest EMS provider in Canada, and one of the largest in North America responding to over 600,000 ground calls and 7,800 air calls every year. BCAS operates under the authority of the BC Emergency Health Services which is supported by the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).

Working as an EMR is an entry-level, community-focused position ideal for people who live and work in a rural or remote area. As a valued health care professional, practitioners will:
provide quality patient care in pre-hospital emergency situations
be a patient advocate who can communicate and interact effectively with co-workers, other allied health care professionals and public safety partners
ensure safe, proficient, and efficient patient care and transportation
be responsible for station security and maintain the station in clean working order
be responsible for the safe operation of ambulances
enhance service delivery and patient care by identifying issues and strategies to address complex program or system-wide problems and concerns.

Valid EMR or PCP license preferred
Valid Class 1, 2 or 4 BC Driver's License (or out of province equivalent)
