About Us

Themis Program Management, a British Columbia company established in 1988, is the leading service and technology provider in Canada to the Child Support Enforcement field. Themis proudly focuses on innovative solutions to problems encountered in the family justice sector - solutions that help people. The BC Family Maintenance Enforcement Program (FMEP) is a provincial government program that monitors and enforces maintenance orders and agreements (for either child support or spousal support). FMEP is run on contract by Themis Program Management.

We are responsible under the Family Maintenance Enforcement Act for monitoring and enforcing all maintenance orders and agreements that are filed with us. We calculate arrears, receive, record and forward payments; and take action, if and when necessary, to try to ensure required maintenance payments are made.

What We Ask of You

You will provide administrative support to the Enforcement Team in a way that ensures effective communication across the team internally, and with external stakeholders and clients. You will manage all case administration which includes preparing court packages, maintaining appropriate electronic and paper filing systems, researching and investigating case information to complete files, and follow up on case activity.

You thrive on supporting others in a team environment and enjoy the challenge of ensuring every detail and task is attended to and organized into an efficient workflow. While diligent in your work, you bring a sense of humor and camaraderie to the workplace.

What You Need

We are looking for junior level administrative assistants who bring:

A minimum of three years of related experience working in a position that combines administrative work along with public contact and/or significant interactions with others

Technology oriented with strong MS Office skills, in particular MS Word and keyboarding skills of 45 wpm.

The ability to communicate information clearly to others both verbally, and in writing

Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a timely manner

A high school diploma; post-secondary education would be a definite asset, including courses in office administration or related field.
