Currently, we are looking for a talented EA who cares like crazy about the people they work with, and thrives in a constantly changing environment.  A seasoned professional, the Executive Assistant to the Vice President will be responsible for overseeing the strategy and day-to-day administrative operations of their executive and their directors.  From calendaring to events management, you must have expertise in all facets of executive administration.

 

Reporting to the Vice President of the Go-To-Market Unit, you will be the administrative glue that ensures your executive and their team are able to meet and exceed the demands and expectations for various projects.  You must be able to think holistically and work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure administrative strategies and initiatives are effectively integrated into the overall departmental plans.  You must also be a strong communicator who is comfortable dealing with the executive offices of Rogers.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

 

  • Strategically manage and plan all things admin for our Vice President and their direct reports, including: calendaring, email follow ups, guests/appointments, expenses, etc.
  • Demonstrate professional skills as the gatekeeper for the executive’s priorities and appointments.
  • Strong comfort and advanced proficiency in the use of technology (smartphones, tablets, laptops, digital/web collaboration tools, etc.)
  • Advanced ability to use time management and office workflow tools such as MS Outlook, MS Office, Sharepoint and Oracle.
  • Provide assistance on ad-hoc business requests as needed.
  • Lead by example to work effectively and collaboratively with the other Executive Assistants within the  organization.

 

WHAT YOU HAVE:

 

  • Minimum of 5+ year of previous Executive Assistant experience working with Senior Executives is a must.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to do what it takes to meet challenging and changing deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to juggle priorities.
  • Demonstrated business professionalism, respect for confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
  • Advanced skills in managing multiple calendars in MS Outlook as well as exemplary knowledge and application of productivity tools such as MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint) and Oracle in day-to-day administrative functions and project management.
  • The qualified candidate must be a strategic thinker, extremely responsive, creative, proactive, and hands on- a key contributor to the overall administrative goals of the immediate department, and administrative group as a whole.
