Reporting to the Director Finance Projects, this position requires an individual with the ability to balance various tasks/demands in a timely manner within a fast-paced environment.  The successful candidate will be responsible to facilitate solutions for financial requirements on enterprise and business unit project initiatives, ensuring that the solutions are in place to mitigate financial reporting risks, prior to the project implementation.


Responsibilities include:


  1. Work with the Director, Finance Projects and Finance subject matter experts to assess the financial impacts of planned project initiatives and support the translation of impacts into requirements, related to:
    1. Financial Reporting for internal, external and compliance requirements
    2. Internal and financial controls
    3. Financial processes
    4. Compliance (e.g. privacy, PCI, regulatory, SOX)
    5. Data integrity and accuracy
    6. Data access, security and retention


  1. Represent financial requirements in project status and working sessions, and manage appropriate interaction between Finance stakeholders and the project working teams to ensure understanding of the requirements.
  2. Participate in solution design sessions, and ensure that design documentation reflects expected solutions to meet finance requirements and mitigate financial risks.
  3. Work with project teams on test planning and test case creation, and relevant subject matter experts on the validation of test case results, relating to solutions that impact financial processes.
  4. When planned solutions do not meet financial requirements or mitigate financial risks, support escalation to the financial leadership team and determine whether there is acceptance risk or the need for a mitigation strategy, prior to the go/no go decision for the deployment of the IT solution into production.
  5. Facilitate the design of internal controls for new or impacted financial processes, and work with impacted teams to determine ownership for the control processes.
  6. Update internal control documentation for new systems and processes, to support the company’s internal controls compliance process.




  • 2 - 5 years of related experience
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience working simultaneously with multiple teams to support project delivery.
  • Accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) or the equivalent accounting experience in a fast paced challenging environment.
  • In-depth working knowledge of financial processes and financial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to deal with different audiences and resolve issues to standards required by senior management and/or auditors.
  • Driven, customer focused and results oriented individual who is organized and has a strong attention to detail; able to produce high quality work to meet tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products and working knowledge of project management software.
