HR System Business Analyst - Cloud Support

We are currently seeking a HR System Business Analyst - Cloud Support to join our internal HR program delivery team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the area of HR cloud support. They will also have the ability to interface with employees and to use their skills to resolve complex problems.

Please note this is not a technical role; preference will be given to candidates who functional user experience in the required systems.

Ideal candidate also has:

  • Experience with Oracle HCM or similar cloud technology
  • Strong working knowledge of quality control and auditing standards
  • A desire to continually learn
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with business partners and internal team members

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a human resources environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite of products.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a HR system administrator with demonstrated knowledge of commonly used concepts, methodologies, and procedures within a project and/or service management environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud technologies and interest in emerging learning technologies.
  • Usability/user experience expertise a plus.
  • Ability to produce requirements specifications to support HR Systems functional design development.
  • Ability to create scripts for training users and administrators on system and procedure changes.
  • Ability to write detailed functional test plans as part of system releases, business initiatives and implementation projects.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and conduct root cause investigations.
  • Ability to gather and compile complex information into an easy-to-understand format (such as Visio and/or MS PowerPoint).
  • Proficient at creating reports and formatting MS Excel sheets using advanced functions, pivot tables and macros.
  • Ability to establish and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
  • Communicates effectively, at all levels of the organization, with meaningful and articulate verbal discussions.
  • Creates clear and coherent written materials.
  • Proven attention to accuracy and detail.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily process administration for various HR systems supported.
  • Provide daily help desk support for system users.
  • Lead system releases’ readiness activities.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing of new functional/technical developments as required.
  • Support team as a functional representative for HR initiatives that impact multiple systems, programs, and/or third party vendors.
  • Create and maintain: reports, correspondence, presentations, change requests, current/proposed process workflows, standard operating procedures, test cases, and end-user guides to support HR and training initiatives.
  • Manage relationships and consult with program owners, end-users, vendors, and team members to identify and resolve system/process related issues.
  • Partner with internal business partners, and external vendors, to: gather, document, and refine business requirements, provide recommendations for small to mid-size initiatives.
  • Evaluate existing internal processes with the intent of identifying anomalies and recommending enhancement opportunities.
  • Perform root causes analysis of issues and recommend preventative solutions.
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests for business information.
  • Assist leadership with building effective practices to meet business and employee needs.
