We are recruiting for two HR professionals to join our team with our mission and vision in mind.


Job Summary


Reports to the Chief Executive Officer and acts as an extension of the human resources department by developing and maintaining professional relationships with employees through best practices


Offers ideas and solutions to the Leadership team to assist with performance improvement and growth of the department


Offers a role to improve employee relationships for all internal and external team members, etc


Works with Directors and Coordinators to advise and support various departments on managing temporary, part-time and full-time employees; such as resolving grievances/complaints, developing cooperative strategies and monitoring work/life balance concerns.


Oversees recruitment processes by posting positions and working with Directors to fill vacancies based on skills and qualifications


Creates and maintains a current database of applications for qualified candidates which may include: pre-screening applicants, setting up interviews, and participating in interviews.


Oversees Exit Interview Process


Manages separation and termination process


Provides HR support according to operational needs


Provides guidance to the Executive on policy development/reform


Works within a team environment to overcome HR challenges and barriers


Provides recommendations on innovative HR principles, practices and solutions for continuous quality improvement


Basic HR administration including but not limited to monitoring remittances, completing year end-reports and supporting the Payroll and Finance departments. 


Qualifications


Looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who must continually strive to meet and exceed position expectations


The ability to build relationships, communicate effectively and accomplish many tasks simultaneously is preferred


Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail


Loyalty is critical


Collective Agreement and Union/Labour Relations experience


Must have strong MS office skills in Word, Excel and Outlook


Able to work in a fast paced office environment and prioritize


Post-Secondary certificate, diploma or degree in Human Resources


CHRP is an asset


Extensive knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, WorkSafe and other relevant provincial legislation for this position


Previous Management experience is an asset.


Salary: Negotiable; based on relevant skills and experience.
