Rogers Digital is looking to add an Inclusive Design Manager to help lead in our digital transformation. It's an exciting time to be in Digital at Rogers as we've grown exponentially this year and look to keep growing as we move into our new home early next year. This role will be a part of the Customer Experience UX/UI team and the candidate will be well versed in the workflow and processes of UI design for both mobile and desktop experiences.


The successful candidate will have a direct report, a brand new accessibility lab for facilitation and support from Product Owners to evangelize the importance of Inclusive Design.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities


  • Assist in the design of user interfaces that provide an interactive, informative and engaging experience

  • Provide support to business as usual (BAU) initiatives such as promotions, device launches, updates to existing experiences

  • Work closely with the user experience team to create online prototypes for usability testing

  • Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of projects, creation/refinement of presentation materials

  • Accountable for accessibility of all elements of asset delivery to development teams

  • Maintain Inclusive Design style guides for desktop and mobile experiences

  • Communicate the functionality and components of interactive elements with cross functional teams including the development team and stakeholders

  • Ability to facilitate training sessions for cross functional teams across the digital team.

  • Provide support to UXD team as needed and be an evangelist for Inclusive Design internally and externally.


Skills and Experience


  • University or College design diploma or equivalent work experience

  • Proven record of defining, managing and implementing robust pattern libraries

  • Thorough understanding of Siteimprove, JAWS Pro 5, ZoomText Reader & Dragon Naturally Speaking

  • WCAG 2.1, CASL AODA, and CRTC policies

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Knowledge of CSS/HTML

  • Proven ability to work with teams and stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and under short deadlines

  • Ability to communicate in English (oral and written), French a bonus.


Strong understanding of current assistive technology, supporting software and barriers of entry for people with vision, hearing and mobility limitations
