Reporting to the Manager, Procurement Strategy, this position is required as a result of determined organizational changes to maximize effectiveness of organization, minimize overlaps of responsibility and reduce handoffs.  This role aims to strengthen the Procurement strategy bench by way of an overall organizational increased span of control and deeper Procurement subject matter expertise.  Further, this function supports the drive for deep category strategies and supports closer supplier relationships with strategic suppliers for optimized benefit.  This role supports strategy influence, formation and execution for the total annual addressable spend of approximately $4.5B

 

What You'll Be Doing:

Business Partnering

  • Enable decision making on business solutions by advising on the cost/risk of change benefits, influencing desired outcomes, and supporting business decisions.
  • Interact cross-functionally and partner with key stakeholders, ensuring effective liaison with other teams and functions to share knowledge and best practice.

Demand Management

  • Support the drive for TCO reduction and identify supplier price models.
  • Support inputs to budget leading to accurate forecasting whilst ensuring an optimised and fully utilised supplier network and resource structure.
  • Support setting of annual savings targets and related KPI measures with Category Team and business partners tied to the budget.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Responsible, under the direction of the Procurement Manager, for building, maintaining, and enhancing solid relationships with key internal stakeholders across the organization to ensure business needs are being met by assigned suppliers.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to ensure goal alignment and effective communication with assigned suppliers.
  • Act as internal consultant to business owners through comprehensive understanding of supplier capabilities, market ecosystem, customer and company needs to identify opportunities to expand existing supplier relationships.
  • Champion assigned relationships with suppliers across the functions, maximizing value through the Rogers supplier network and functional areas
  • Client Interactions to resolve simple to complex problems with effective solutions
  • Support the partnerships with the clients on specific projects and outcomes

 

What You Bring:

  • Undergraduate education.
  • More than 2-5 years of progressive experience
  • General knowledge of contemporary procurement strategies, negotiating frameworks, cost modelling analysis and presentation aptitude within a senior level audience
  • Sound understanding of the supply market for both goods and services and both direct and indirect procurement practices
