Description:

We are currently seeking strong individuals to fill Learning Business Manager roles supporting Consumer Business Sales Accounts. Through partnering and consulting, learning expertise and maintaining strong relationships the Learning Business Manager will act as liaison to the business unit and collaborate with training teams to enable sales performance-oriented learning. The Learning Business Manager is responsible for leading and developing strategic training solutions and introducing best practice approaches that are both customer and learner centric and support the organization in achieving corporate objectives.  This role is based out of Toronto and will report to the Senior Manager, OD Business Management.   

 

Description of Responsibilities

  • Partner and build close and meaningful relationships with key senior business leaders and functional groups associated with a trusted advisor role
  • Lead the needs analysis, assessment, design, development and measurement of programs to close performance gaps, realize required behavioural change and develop key competencies aligned to delivering the business strategy
  • Liaison between Business and Learning & Enablement team with an accountability for the strategic planning of learning solutions that ensure continuous individual and organizational performance improvement
  • Collaborate with other Business Managers to proactively advise clients on holistic end to end solutions and prioritize work of shared resources to ensure the delivery
  • Proactively consult with our customers and L&E partners on new performance improvement opportunities, operational impacts, and the creation of processes, tools and templates that will inform go forward decisions and future learning solutions
  • Contribute to the development and execution of communication and marketing plans and content to promote the rollout of learning solutions
  • Represent learning and participate in the business operations review process and meetings
  • Conduct regular channel visits to build business acumen, support channels and ensure Rogers training standards are maintained
  • Lead training needs analysis exercises and discussions to ensure that clients receive all appropriate training program updates
  • Ensure alignment of training initiatives and outcomes to service level agreements with  leadership
  • Provide training performance reports and consult to identify gaps and areas of opportunity by continually monitoring feedback on respective training programs
  • Oversee the channel training operating budget - review budget/forecast vs. actual and take necessary actions

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in Adult Learning Education, Performance Consulting, or Human Perform Improvement certificate and/or equivalent work experience required 
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience of Sales Account manager experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting with a strong foundation in performance consulting and learning theory is an asset
  • Robust telecommunications industry and products acumen (i.e. Wireless, Internet, etc.) an asset
  • Strong relationship and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and influence through formal and informal networks
  • Experience in collaborating with senior executives/leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate and performance manage in an extremely high-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a high degree of skill in PowerPoint  and Excel
  • Results oriented with a proven ability to meet both short-term and long-term business objectives
  • High energy, strong work ethic,  positive attitude and ability to work hard play hard
