Reporting to the Director, HR Operations & Planning, this role is responsible for the management and successful execution of facilitator led training and OD/leadership programs nationally within the Organization Development (OD) organization.  The scope of the role includes but is not limited to managing scheduling/coordination, facilitator support, system IDs and access, budget and facilities management.

 

Description of Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead a team responsible for the key functions required for successful facilitation and optimal learner experience including:
    • Training and event coordination
    • Technical support for facilitators
    • ID administration support for internal and vendor classes
    • Facilities, equipment and systems management
    • OPEX and CAPEX budget management
  • Develop and drive team strategy and operations through partnership with OD leadership to ensure priority needs are mapped and supported
  • Develop and implement consistent processes, communications and measurement of team contribution and impact while driving long-term process improvement for OD Operations and Support
  • Own all resource scheduling and execution of training plans including communication of resource risks and issues, escalation management and the resolution of resource challenges
  • Own and manage training facilities and ensure that training facilities are maintained and ready for use including all systems and equipment required for training are sourced and provided
  • Accountable for the back-end leader-led session support including the resolution of technical issues preventing successful learner experience during in class training
  • Collaborate with OD leadership and business unit partners to remove barriers to instructor-led training and programs through a continuous improvement cycle including regular communication and progress updates
  • Drive training and program plan execution excellence & the ongoing evolution of the team support model to continue to meet the needs of the greater OD organization

 

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership and people management role
  • Strong relationship building and management skills
  • Strong workforce planning, analysis and process development skills
  • Strong planning, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to anticipate problems and opportunities, and develop and implement effective strategies to resolve them
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent presentation and Microsoft Excel skills
  • High energy, strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Results-oriented with a proven ability to meet both short-term and long-term business objectives
  • Previous experience in training operations, event logistics, scheduling/coordination and leading support functions in a fast paced environment is an asset
