JOB DESCRIPTION
Western Forest Products' Cowichan Bay Sawmill is currently seeking a Certified Millwright with industrial experience, preferably in the forest products industry, to join our sawmill operation in Cowichan Bay, B.C.
The successful candidate will bring an excellent safety record and a strong work ethic to the job. We are looking for a highly motivated team player with excellent time management skills, and a creative, innovative mind with strong problem solving skills.  You are a person who is accountable and dependable.  The position requires the ability to work on various shifts (day, afternoon and graveyard).

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or Chargehand, you are required, to safely perform quality work, provide support services, and perform preventative maintenance processes that pertain to optimum mechanical performance of our Facility including, but not limited to:
Safe Work Practices, Ethics & Standards
Competencies in Hot Work & Lock Out Protocols
Welding repairs
Knowledge of Hydraulic Systems
Repair or replacement of Mechanical Components & Machinery
Rigging and Slinging
Troubleshooting Mechanical Machinery
Preferred candidates will be Red Seal Certified.
