Job Description

This part-time management level position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination of services by providing supervision, leadership and direction to a number of employees, as well as evaluating program standards. This position assists individuals to live successfully in their home and participate within their community. This position is responsible for ensuring that the individuals’ physical, emotional, social, and educational and health needs are met. In addition, the incumbent will monitor individuals’ quality of life, activities of daily living, and the development of life skills. 


A Degree in social services or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Management or supervisory experience.

Service area experience. (Social/Human Services)

A 2-year commitment to the position is required.

First Aid Certification is required upon hiring, and to remain current at all times

Medical certificate is required

TB Test is required

Must undergo a Criminal Record Check as required

Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Use of personal vehicle required (and willing to obtain $3million liability insurance coverage annually)

Proficient in MS office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Skills & Abilities:

Proven ability to set priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, meet timelines and work independently

Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and decision making skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent stress management and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to build and maintain a strong team of diverse backgrounds

Ability to interact effectively with individuals living with developmental disabilities

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to operate and coach a team with related equipment and technology
