Our Digital IT Development Team is looking for a Senior Delivery Manager. The Senior Delivery Manager will lead a team of Delivery Managers, Senior and Junior Developers and Vendors where reqiured.

Ideal Candidate:

 

You will lead in a fast-paced environment, design and develop new features and systems, launch them, and iterate to incrementally make them better. You will participate in the overall planning, execution, and success of a complex cross-functional team, work closely with product management, hire candidates for technical positions, and develop technical staff. You are an ideal candidate if you have a demonstrated track record of hiring and leading teams of software development engineers to design and deploy highly-scaled, global software systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the software development team providing coaching, leadership, guidance, and performance management as required.
  • Provide management of the software development life cycle through development to delivery ensuring milestones are properly defined and achieved.
  • Document development deliverables, schedules, and other necessary information, providing progress reports as required.
  • Assist in defining and continually enhancing the development processes of the organization.
  • Liaise with all relevant organizational departments in order to plan and execute projects providing assurance project scopes are accurately and adequately defined in relation to software development.
  • Act as a resource for various departments concerning software development.
  • Perform maintenance of programming for existing versions of the organization's software offerings.
  • Ensure the functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and system architecture for each project.
  • Stay current with trends, techniques, technology and other factors impacting the job incorporating as deemed necessary.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and offer recommendations /ideas on design projects.
  • Oversee design, code, and test major features in collaboration with development team to deliver complex changes.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing an Agile team of 5+ software development engineers
  • 7+ years of professional experience in software development
  • Experience building scalable distributed systems with service oriented architectures
  • Expert in at least one modern programming language, e.g. Java, C/C++, or C#
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ years relevant work experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A deep understanding of software engineering practices, object oriented analysis & design, design patterns and algorithms
  • Experience with telemetry, optimization, and/or machine learning
  • Demonstrated strong technical judgment in conjunction with passionate customer-focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French and English)
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
