The Senior Fleet Specialist is responsible for supporting all Fleet/Procurement functions and providing day-to-day support to all lines of business. This includes understanding the needs of the lines of business, fleet and procurement objectives, and the overall organizational objectives.  Understanding all aspects of fleet management including acquisition, compliance, analytics, operations and finance.

 

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and is responsible for supporting departmental goals, objectives, and expected results.  Must be able to problem solve and formulate recommendations based on the task and the needs of the business.

 

What you’ll be doing:

Fleet Category Management

  • Provide day-to-day support to all areas of the business for any fleet related inquiries and requests
  • Provide report analytics, review fleet reports for trends and anomalies, support BU Report inquiries. 
  • Manage Fleet rebranding initiatives.  Work with team to deliver results in expected timeframe.
  • Perform various functions in Oracle.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and key suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance in all facets of fleet operations including licensing and commercial vehicle operators regulations
  • Maintain accurate fleet database and update as required
  • Report all fleet related accidents to third party adjuster and enter in online system. 
  • Manage process from initial reporting to settlement, tracking all recoveries
  • Provide telematics data upon request and support the program

 

What you have:

  • University/post-secondary degree is preferred
  • Professional experience in fleet, procurement, or related category experience is preferred
  • Good understanding fleet management, related processes and systems required
  • Good business/financial acumen required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financial system an asset
  • Ability to perform in team environment or autonomously when required. Open and willingness to provide feedback to improve processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills required
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills required, as well as excellent attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment is required.
