Senior Manager, Marketing Mix Modelling, Analytics and Insights

 

 

The Senior Manager, Marketing Mix Modeling, Analytics and Insights will develop and manage an optimization model that informs opportunities for improvement and growth in the areas of marketing, brand equity and management, and channel and promotion strategy. She/he will guide a cross-functional project team to build and deliver on all components of a Marketing Mix Model implementation, from data integration, modelling, insights development to business recommendation.

 

The incumbent will also manage a high performing team of data analysts and foster an always learning, always curious team to explore analytical methodologies that reveal actionable business capabilities or opportunities. The ideal candidate must be able to translate complex data analyses into valuable insights, and act as a change agent to foster innovation and evidence-based decision-making capabilities in the organization. As such, he/she must possess a proven track record of leading complex data initiatives end to end, as well as meeting the analytic acumen and people management experience required for the role.

 

 

Key competencies required for the role:

  • Analytics Planning, Design & Execution: Provide thought leadership around data modelling methodologies and the application of advanced, predictive analytics according to business needs and opportunities

     

  • Collaboration: Develop collaborative working partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure that insights are derived to inspire high impact business decisions. Proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency, automation, standardization and process simplification as needed

 

  • Influencing and Relationship-Building Skills: In addition to being a strong analytics and modelling subject matter expert, the role must hold a track record of building and sustaining strong ‘working relationships” across all functions and levels of a matrix organization.
  • Communication. Ability to simplify complex data analyses and findings into succinct strategic business opportunities. Must be able to communicate in both formal and informal settings, to all levels within the organization.
  • Performance Measurement: With internal cross functional stakeholders, identify and define success criteria and KPIs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the building and operationalization of a marketing mix model platform to measure and optimize the efficacy of our marketing, brand and media investments
  • Manage a high-performing team of data analysts to derive insights to amplify value realization and proactively identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, standardization and process simplification with regards to marketing analytics, channel intelligence, customer targeting strategies and brand measurement
  • Manage Business, Technology and Analytic stakeholders to shape and define scope, develop business requirements, capabilities and timelines, drive quality assurance and deliver a timely and complete market mix model
  • Manage and maintain a high level of modelling and analytical integrity. Constantly analyze, review, diagnose and quality check modeled results in order to ensure the continued value creation and business relevance of the marketing mix model
  • Develop and track key KPIs and communicate marketing and brand performance results

 

 

 

Skills & Qualifications

 

  • 7+ years of experience in customer data analytics; experience building  marketing mix models and managing platform and data integration is highly desirable
  • Self-starting, detail-oriented and professional – with the ability to effectively oversee multiple priorities simultaneously and set a course with minimum guidance, ambiguity and change
  • Can positively contribute to teamwork, influence cross-functionally, and deliver results independently showing a strong sense of urgency and high-level of personal accountability and ownership
  • Experience in leading and delivering complex analytic assignments with tight timeframes
  • Strong Marketing background including performance management and marketing KPIs.
  • Advanced skills in analytical tools including SQL, SAS, R combined with a strong understanding of statistical methodologies commonly used in marketing mix modelling
  • Superior project management skills and detail orientation
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, including. persuasive storytelling
  • Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics; MBA preferred
