We are seeking the talents of an experienced and capable individual to provide support for the delivery and management of our workplace transformation program and related activities.  This position represents a unique opportunity to be an integral part of our multi-year program that will dramatically transform the Rogers workplace.  Working with a team of professionals in Rogers Corporate Real Estate, the Senior Manager, Workplace Planning and Interior Design, will report to the Director, Portfolio Planning and Workplace Strategy.  This role’s primary responsibility will be to support workplace strategy initiatives including interior fit-outs, strategic facility planning, and portfolio optimization.


This opportunity will appeal to those who are interested and have experience in Corporate Interior Workplace Design, and who like a fast paced environment, high productivity and short deadlines and collaborative teamwork. Along with familiarity with all phases of a corporate real estate interior fit out, including programming, planning, design and contract administration, the successful candidate must also have poses superior analytical, communication, time management and interpersonal skills.



  • Experience leading and managing external teams
  • Work with the entire project team (Design, Change Management, Leasing, Facilities Management, IT and PM teams) on various tasks to ensure project execution, which includes being accountable for the execution/management of project subtasks
  • Ability to play different roles during the life cycle of a project, including with feasibility planning, test fits, business cases, design and fit out
  • Program development, capacity planning and solving complex programmatic challenges
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify requirements for both existing and new sites
  • Analyze, synthesize and evaluate requirements into comprehensive, strategic planning initiatives
  • Experience with utilization/observation studies
  • Keeps abreast of new work space concepts to drive innovation, collaboration and agility
  • Facilitate regular meetings as necessary for successful communications between all team members and stakeholders
  • Establish processes and operational policies for all design/architecture solutions
  • Develop space standards, furniture selection, budget estimates, and schedules for diverse property asset class nationally
  • Develop design criteria and space layouts, review detailed scale drawings and provide design direction to all design consultants
  • Responsible for the creation and coordination of presentation packages from concept to execution (incl. interior design, concepts, colour boards, veneer and carpet samples, material specifications, accessory list, etc.)
  • Supervise and coordinate all project work on design specifications for space planning, working drawings, Building Code, LEED and Accessibility policy
  • Liaise with external design consultants, reviews design concepts, costs including equipment, installation, labour, materials, preparation and other related costs
  • Responsible for development of statement of work for design aspects of projects for any bid/RFP requirements and evaluations related to vendor selections
  • Inspect construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Select or design, and purchase furnishings, art work, and accessories



  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment with both internal and external parties
  • Have 10+ years working experience, of which must be progressive roles in Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Interior Design, or Strategic facility management
  • Bachelor Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent
  • Expert in requirement gathering, program development, capacity planning and solving complex programmatic challenges
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial office interiors and the design process, including space planning, budgeting, furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), specifications, construction drawings, and contract administration
  • Versed on building code, health and safety, fire code, disability act, etc.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the relationship between workplace design and productivity
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and MS office required
  • Strong computer analysis and presentation skills (excel, power point)
  • MS Project knowledge an asset
  • LEED and Sustainability certification an asset
  • Ability to engage/ effectively communicate/ liaise with senior-level/ executive relationships
  • Excellent planning, time management, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Superb presentation and facilitation skills
  • Recognized ability to multi task, manage time effectively and work with modest supervision
  • Excellent planning, time management, problem-solving, negotiating, analytical and problem solving skills
