Coastal Community is committed to improving financial health, enriching lives and building healthier communities. We are seeking to fill the position of Treasury Analyst.

Reporting to the VP Treasury & Risk, the Treasury Analyst is responsible for monitoring cash levels, managing liquidity investments and borrowings, monitoring competitive interest rates and foreign exchange rates, and maintaining foreign exchange rate and staff loan interest rate bulletins. The Treasury Analyst is also responsible for providing quality financial analysis and accounting support to the Finance Department through the completion of financial and treasury related duties.

The successful candidate must have a Business Degree or Diploma with a specialization in Finance or Economics or CFA or professional accounting designation (3rd level CGA equivalent) or combination thereof. In addition, the candidate will have a minimum of 5 years related experience in the financial service industry, strong knowledge of treasury management principles and practices, and strong knowledge of asset and liability management and liquidity concepts.

Additionally our preferred candidate will also have:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; intermediate knowledge of Word, Access and Outlook

Working knowledge of financial markets

Knowledge of accounting systems and processes and financial statements

Knowledge of Coastal Community’s rate structures and products

The Treasury Analyst will be able to develop collaborative, positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and will be a team player. This individual will also be a self-learner with high motivation to engage in continuous learning and self-development opportunities.
